TotRockin’ DadsPlayDate : 80’s Movie + Crafting For Dads & Kids
Help us re-imagine the playdate on a Saturday afternoon.
Made especially for TotRockin’ dads and their kids that want to get hands-on, involved, explore and create some magic, together.
30 of us will watch a classic 80’s kids movie then make spaceships out of recycled stuff.
(Mums, sorry but you are not invited and anyway you have enough of your own clubs/groups/mafia so you can leave this one alone 🙂 )
The team behind TotRockinBeats bring you the very first in their new venture. TotRockin’ DadsPlayDate.
We will be heading up to Colonnade House to watch a private screening of the 80’s classic movie ‘Explorers’ then fulled by popcorn, pop, dreams and an 80’s soundtrack, we’ll be running a crafting session to build our own spaceships and assorted space-related gadgets from washing-up bottles, loo-rolls, tin foil and anything else we can lay our hands on.
Imagine a Blue Peter/Tony Hart/Art Attack session with an 80’s soundtrack, and you’ll be about right.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING:
The film will be a seated affair for 30 people, but small bottoms might be more comfortable on the floor so feel free to bring a cushion/pillow with you.
Please bring along as much cardboard, loo-rolls, washing up bottles etc as you can manage – the more we have the more we can use.
We will be supplying some drinks and snacks but feel free to bring your own.
WHAT TO WEAR:
We believe dads are superheroes so feel free to turn up in fancy dress!
WHO THIS IS FOR:
Dads that want to get involved with kids aged between 4 and 10.
So bring your dreams, your kids and get ready for a Saturday afternoon full of space-age adventure.
